She was helping to find a forever home for a beautiful little girl . . her name was Sister. She was a blind Chow who had lived through some really tough times. Sister found a wonderful home in Alaska and I found a wonderful friend for life. On May 2, I posted a wonderful poem by the name of "A Spiritual Conspiracy" to my blog site. At the time I knew nothing about the author because the version I had found stated that the author was "unknown". Much to my surprise I was contacted by a friend of the author telling me about him and his book of which the poem originates. Cori's Vision was founded by Sarah Whitman in 2005, after her dog, Cori, went blind from glaucoma. It was a traumatic and stressful time for both Sarah and Cori, but they got through it together as family members. Cori's Vision distributes free booklets with tips for helping a newly blind dog adjust. The booklet, called "The Blind Dog Guide" is free to blind dog parents.
